What Jesus Does for Me

sunofGodScan 11

All I did for Jesus; was give up TV.

In a dream I heard a voice that was mocking me;

The evil one announced; “I should do what the guy on TV does!”

I awoke and said “No!”;

I should do what Jesus does; He’s my Lord and Saviour.

I should do what Jesus does; He’s my example for behaviour.

I should do what Jesus does; He’s my Path and Guide.

I should do what Jesus does; He’s the Rock at my side.

I should do what Jesus does; He is mine today.

I should do what Jesus does; He teaches me to pray.

I should do what Jesus does; Read His Word, live His love.

I should do what Jesus does; He is my God who Reigns Above.

I should do what Jesus does; He is my Lord and King.

I should do what Jesus does; He is my everything.

I should do what Jesus does; He’s my Guiding Light.

I should do what Jesus does; I should stand for what is right!

I should do what Jesus does; and listen to His voice; TV takes away from prayer and meditation.

God gives us the choice!

My Refuge

contemplate

Things go wrong. Plans don’t go as planned. Life throws you a curve ball. To be more specific – the children you raise may very well part from your example and instruction. They break your heart in the process.

Proverbs 22:6. Train up a child in the way he should go; Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
This is not a promise. It is a hope of every Christian parent. However, with television in this world it’s becoming less and less a possibility. New technology seems straight from somewhere other than heaven. Progressive teaching seems so backward that you might as well send your children to the Fagin School of ethics. But my title says it all. Even in what seems like a daily midnight we have a Refuge. His name is Christ Jesus. He is with us 24/7. When everything seems hopeless He is there listening and consoling us. All we need to do is make quiet time to share with Him. Turn off the phone, throw out the TV, and go to a quiet private spot. Tell Him everything. Listen in this peaceful oasis for His response.
